Hand painted jeans.
Everyone owns at least one pair of jeans.
Whether they become old, and faded or ripped, and tattered, they can always have a new look with paint.
I've seen painted jeans with cool designs, and I've seen them with paint splattered over them.
Both look trendy, and fashionable.
I painted a pair of jeans with a woman's face.
This was the fourth pair of jeans that I have painted.
I started by drawing on outline of the face, and then painted it in.
I added splashes of turquoise paint down the front leg on the same side that the woman is painted on.
I'm thinking of adding words, and additional colors to the jeans.
I also need to add another coat of paint to the face, and shoulders.
I would like to continue painting on jeans.
I have ideas for abstract designs.
I would like to splatter the jeans with many different colors.
I would also like to create some asymmetrical designs.
There are so many color combinations, and shapes to choose from.
The jeans can all be unique.
I have another pair of jeans in my closet, waiting to be painted.
I will probably paint an abstract design on them.
I have learned from experience that in order for a painted image to be seen, it must be painted on the part of the jeans that the leg fills out.
For example, the first time I painted on jeans, I painted a full bodied woman.
The painted head was on my thigh, and was perfectly visible.
The body was on my knee, and below.
Because this part of the jean is more airy, and flowing, the image could not be made out.
I was very disappointed, and eventually donated the jeans to charity.
It would be great to get together with a group of friends to paint an old pair of jeans that you are no longer wearing, or considering donating to a charity.
No design would be "incorrect."
And, who knows? You may discover that you have a talent for making old things new again.
