Painted silver tee shirt.
I had not been to the vintage flea market in several months, and I decided to visit again.
As usual, there were crowds of people rummaging through the clothes.
I squeezed my way in, and started rummaging right along with them.
The first item that looked interesting to me was a gray tee shirt.
I picked it up, and it had Mickey Mouse on the front. Score!
It was an authentic Disney tee shirt.
I definitely wanted to purchase it.
I was thinking that I may splatter some paint on it, while keeping the cartoon image in tact.
Silver was the color I had chosen.
Halfway through painting, I ran out of the small bottle of silver paint that I was using.
No problem. I remembered that I had a larger jar of silver paint that was about half full.
I went to get the jar, and to my dismay, the paint was dried out.
I thought I would need to stop the project, and order more paint.
As a last effort, I began looking through the bags of paint that I have, and found another small bottle of half-used silver paint.
And, the paint was in usable condition.
There was just enough to complete the back of the shirt.
What a relief.
I had so much fun painting this tee shirt.
It wasn't so much the tee shirt, but the painting process itself.
It was imagining the color scheme.
It was the stroke of the paint onto the fabric.
It was seeing the tee shirt go from dull, and dreary, to having new life.
Some days I feel like I could paint around the clock.
I like the rustic look of the shirt after being painted.
As you can see, I wore the tee shirts with skirts in the photos above.
Even so, the outfits are casual.
Of course, jeans are the obvious choice to pair with the tee shirt.
Any jeans would be flattering: wide legged, skinny jeans, or ripped.
This tee shirt is versatile for sure.
